}Not Quite Human{

rpharuka:

As he looked around the water, it appeared to just be another swimmer off in the distance. All he could tell was he had red hair and fair skin. He was curious why someone would swim that far out from the beach but perhaps he was an experienced swimmer. Haru shrugged. He was still bummed about not having waves to surf. He ended up laying back down on his board. Not sure if he should try and talk to someone he doesn’t know or not.

Sometimes he went surfing with his friends but they thought he was crazy to even bother going with the sea as calm as it was today. It still brought him a sort of peace to be surround by the ocean. It had its own special sound and it was very relaxing. he glanced off in the direction he had seen the swimmer in before. They seemed to be the only two in this particular area of the shore. It was a rather secluded beach that Haru frequented. It wasn’t a public one, it was private and just not where tourists venture often. He thought he could still see him faintly in the distance but he wasn’t sure.

     – Seeming like the human had no interest in him, Rin tilted his head a little. Of course, his upper body and what was revealed of him now could practically make it easy to assume he was an ordinary human himself, so he didn’t find it a surprise that the other seemed so calm – however, it was too far away for Rin to get a good look on it, so he decided to maybe tease a bit while getting closer. He took note of it when he saw that the human was looking at him, and he took advantage of the slight moment by diving under water, making sure his shark-like tail was in good view before the fin pushed him underneath.

     And then he moved closer to the other one, making sure to not get too close. Even if he was curious – and rather mischievous, he took his sister’s warning to him about humans. They could be dangerous, and he knew nothing of their world, so when he saw the board the human was on in good view – still keeping his distance, he broke the surface again, but only a tiny bit so he wasn’t as revealed as he had been earlier. Now he could have a good look at the other, assuming it was a male from the looks of it. He had learned that the difference between a human and sea people was that they had fins, while humans walked on legs, everything else was almost the same.
